To ensure the club operates in a fair and transparent way for the benefit of all members, Vulcans Handball Club has a series of policies that govern how the club operates and the standards we expect.

As part of joining the club, all members are required to read and agree to comply with all club policies, procedures and codes of conduct. Parents or guardians will be asked to sign on behalf of under 18s.

Safeguarding, Welfare, and Equality

Every handball club is responsible for their own governance and has a legal duty of care to all members. At Vulcans Handball Club, we are committed to providing a safe and inclusive club for all our members. Our Safeguarding and Welfare officer, James Chadburn, is available to all coaches, players, and club members to speak to for any questions, concerns, or support.

Health and Safety

While we want all our players to enjoy playing handball, we want them to do so with as little risk as possible. In order to do this, our Health & Safety Policy outlines the duties of the club and its members to ensure the safety of everyone at the club. The club is also insured through England Handball in the unlikely event of an accident occurring.

Social Media

Social media is a prominent method of communication for the Club, where we can express opinions, engage with the members of our club and the wider community. As such it is important for us to have a policy to demonstrate how we ensure we are represented in a suitable way and can take action should the need arise.  Our Social Media Policy outlines our expectations of all the members of the club and their use of social media.
